Our Roots
We have cared for generations of people and pets. And we’re only getting better.
1930 – Ward Memorial Veterinary Practice Opens
Dr. R.D. Ward opened the doors of Ward Memorial Veterinary Practice. This is the start of what would become the Central Houston Animal Hospital legacy.
1970 – New Name, New Location, More Services
The practice was renamed Central Houston Animal Hospital and was relocated to the current Montrose location on Westheimer in the early 1970’s. Prior to becoming our current home, the building served as a local dry cleaner and a furniture retail store.
2008 – New Ownership with the Same Values.
In 2008, Dr. Lucy Faulkner purchased Central Houston Animal Hospital and continues to provide the highest quality veterinary care possible by focusing on the individual patient and owner’s concerns. Our staff of doctors, veterinary technicians, receptionists, and kennel technicians works as a team to provide a stress free environment for our clients and patients.
2018 – Name Change and Re-brand, But Still Serving Houston proudly.
In 2018, we simplified the named Central Houston Animal Hospital to CHAH. With this came a new logo, website, and plans to remodel the clinic. Lots has changed over the years, but one thing never will: our commitment to providing the best veterinary care possible.
