Core Pet Vaccinations

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible and routine vaccinations are a very important tool used in prevention. There are many deadly diseases today in dogs and cats that can be prevented with appropriate vaccinations. These are considered Core Vaccinations:

  • Rabies Vaccine
  • Distemper
  • Parvovirus
  • Adenovirus 2
  • Feline Herpes virus
  • Feline Panleukopenia
  • Feline Calicivirus

Non-Core Animal Vaccines

At the same time, Our philosophy at Central Houston Animal Hospital is to immunize for only what is necessary in each individual animal. Non-Core Vaccinations include:

  • Leptospirosis (highly recommended)
  • Bordetella (highly recommended in at risk dogs)
  • Influenza (highly recommended in at risk dogs)
  • Feline Leukemia
